Describe the leader’s role within the function in relation to the vision

  • The desired role of the leader within the function is analysed in terms of success criteria
  • The role of the leader is analysed in terms of critical aspects

Improve own leadership within the function

  • The leadership role within the function is analysed by consultation and engagement within own function and other functions on current and desired role of leaders
  • Own leadership capabilities are analysed against the analysis of the required leadership role in order to improve leadership within the function
  • A leadership improvement plan is developed according to a variety of aspects

Empower team members through recognising strengths, encouraging participation and delegating tasks

  • Ensure job profiles for team are agreed with team members
  • Provide constructive feedback to the team on group and individual performance
  • Encourage participation in decision making
  • Delegate tasks effectively
